A Legacy of Professional Voice Acting Insights & Industry Evolution
By 2015, the "Voiceover Architect" blueprint was firmly in place. My focus shifted toward the Art and Science of the business, translating high-level strategy into daily habits and measurable data. These entries capture a pivotal year where the industry began grappling with new platform disruptions, cloud-based tools, and the necessity of rigorous career analytics.

Key Topics and Career Milestones from 2015
Habitual Excellence & Career Longevity
Sustainability in voiceover is rarely about one big break; it’s about the cumulative power of small actions. I kicked off the year by breaking down the process of Building Good Habits for 2015, focusing on the systems that allow a talent to stay in the game for decades. I also answered the 10 Questions I'm Frequently Asked about the reality of a long-term VO career.
The Science of Connection
Networking in 2015 was no longer just about "showing up." I began dissecting the technical side of professional relationships in my series on The Art and Science of Networking Events and looked at the changing landscape of digital connection, specifically Why We Suck at LinkedIn.
Data-Driven Strategy: Churn & Analytics
This was the year I really leaned into the "Strategist" identity by applying hard business metrics to the creative booth. I addressed the reality of Client Churn and how to use Analytics to predict business cycles, rather than just reacting to them.
Facing the Disruptors
2015 was also a year of "Tough Love" regarding the industry's shift. I tackled the Fiverr Phenomenon head-on, along with the dangers of Working for "Paise" and how to handle International Clients.

Reflecting on 2015?
Looking back, 2015 was about Control. It was the year I stopped wondering where the next client would come from and started using data to find them. The "Tough Love" and "Analytics" themes here are the bedrock of the diagnostic work I do now as the VO Strategist.
