My story about telling stories...

Like many voice actors, I occasionally suffer from Impostor Syndrome. It most recently happened when I presented at my dear friend Johnny Heller's New England Narrator Retreat.

I was surrounded by dozens of fabulous audiobook narrators and coaches, some of which have narrated hundreds of titles and won numerous awards. I have a comparatively paltry 73 titles listed on Audible.

To some of you, that may sound like a lot of titles. To others, it's a pittance. For me, audiobook narration is "part of a balanced breakfast" since I truck in many other genres. And that's okay. I wouldn't trade my voiceover journey for anything!

My points are these...

To be a successful voice actor is to understand where you are in your journey
Everyone's definition of success is and should be different
Comparing your voiceover journey to others is a terrible exercise. Don't do it! Revel in your victories and accomplishments!

This blog is a celebration of my audiobook journey thus far. While I don't narrate as many titles as I used to, I look fondly upon what I have accomplished and the amazing people I have met along the way.
