A Legacy of Professional Voice Acting Insights & Industry Evolution
If there was a single year that defined the "Identity Divorce," it was 2017. This was the year I celebrated 5 years of being the VO Strategist, realizing that my role in the industry had evolved into a dual path: high-level performance and high-level strategy. The Veteran’s Craft: E-Learning & Audiobooks
With over two decades of experience, I focused heavily on the technical nuances of narration. I reflected on what 20 years of E-learning narration taught me and compared the stamina required for Audiobooks vs. E-learning. This was also a year of continued education, attending Johnny Heller’s Splendiferous Workshop and the New England Audiobook Retreat.
Community & The "Good Karma" Spirit
The community remained my backbone in 2017. We saw the high-energy return of Faffcon 9 and explored the intersection of fandom and work at Comic Cons. I also shared a look at my ever-evolving Mobile Recording Rig, a staple for the modern working talent.
Industry Disruption & Advocacy
2017 was a volatile year for the business. I documented the massive shifts involving Voicebank and Voices.com, analyzed the Future of the Voiceover Industry, and looked at the rise of the VO Agent Alliance.

2017 proved that you cannot have a successful "Performance" career without a rigorous "Strategy." It was the year I realized my mission was to help other talent build their own blueprints. Today, that mission lives on at VO Strategist, while my voice continues to tell stories here.
