TIP OF THE WEEK
The situation reminds me that we as voice talents have to engage in good customer service all of the time. We have the potential to make mistakes on a variety of levels: pronunciation errors, incorrect file formatting, and billing boo-boos to name a few. Here are three tips to good customer service.
Respond Quickly. If a client contacts you regarding an issue of some sort, don’t dawdle! Reply ASAP.
Ask Good Questions. Be a good listener and get all the pertinent information before you take action.
Be Positive. A great way to evangelize your clients is to wow them when things get sticky. Take the issue seriously and fix it with a smile!
NEWS AND NOTES
Katherine Kellgren passed away last week. She was an award-winning audio book narrator and a truly lovely person. I only knew her a little bit but she was supremely talented, funny, and classy. Katy will be sorely missed.
