You’re probably wondering why the GKN Weekly Update is a day late. To make a short story long, I was supposed to pick up my buddy from the airport on Sunday night, an 11:13 PM flight. It landed at 2:10 AM.

Yuck! Needless to say, I slept in. The good news is that I woke to a couple of voiceovers in my Inbox.

Yay! Then I had errands to run, a client to visit,  and a personal commitment so I got home after midnight.

Yuck again! So I decided to sleep in again and woke up to a phone call from my dentist’s office wondering where I was.

YUCK!!! I scrambled and got there only ten minutes late. Now I’m sitting here with a temporary crown, a puffy mush, and a pile of commercial tags & retakes waiting to be recorded.

Yuck, indeed.

The good news is now I have time to write my blog while waiting for the Novocaine to wear off. Yay, optimism!

TIP OF THE WEEK

I could have SWORN my dentist appointment was on Wednesday. I even wrote it in my planner! You should have a notification system of some kind in place for exactly this type of situation. Outlook is great with sending you notifications, and I bet your phone has an app for that, too.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

The problem with defending the purity of the English language is that English is about as pure as a crib house whore. We don’t just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary.  James D. Nicoll

STUFF

I finally got see The Avengers last week and it was pretty darn good! Love the shawarma scene after the
