I got married!

That’s me and my lovely bride Marni on The Promenade in Las Vegas. We got married on The High Roller Observation Wheel.

Crazy, right? It was an amazing experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
TIP OF THE WEEK
Now that I’m married and my perspective on many things has changed, here’s some advice that I try to live by. This applies to both significant others and clients.
The most important factor in a relationship is respect. I talked about it in this blog from a while back. Respect your clients, respect your partner, and respect yourself. Respect them the way you would want to be respected.
All relationships are based on communication and trust. If lines of communications are open, expectations can be managed and many problems avoided. Set everyone up for success by voicing concerns and anticipating issues as far in advance as possible.
Love is a verb, not just a state of being. It’s an active thing that must be demonstrated not just with flowers & candy (or marketing materials) occasionally, but with consistent, positive, day-to-day actions. Determine how you and your significant other likes to give and receive love. Check out my 5 Love Languages blog post to see what I’m talking about.
Happiness is a choice. I talked about this at length in this blog post, but it bears repeating. Getting married doesn’t automatically equal happiness. It won’t get served to you on a silver platter. Happiness is a decision you make regardless of your financial or social situation. It’s not your partner’s job to make you happy, it’s YOUR job to make you happy.
