Please. Nobody reads this crap, anyway. Well, besides mom. Hi mom!
Will you stop it? People want to know what you got out of this year. You know, what you did right, what you did wrong? Any lessons you learned?
Ugh…fine. Just ask me questions and write down my answers so I can keep lying here. It’s so warm under the covers…
How you get anything done is beyond me. OK, let’s hit the five areas of your business. Cash Flow. How was it this year?
I hit my revenue goal with seven weeks to spare. Next.
How the hell did you do that?
I just kept doing what I’ve been doing. Cold calls, online searches, auditioning though places like Voice123. I guess it finally paid off. Next!
Technique?
Fail. I didn’t take any lessons but I’m definitely gonna do that next year. Man, I don’t even warm up anymore. I did slow down, though. I mean, I don’t talk as fast as I used to when I’m narrating. That means less mistakes so that’s a good thing.
Tools?
I got new monitors, overhauled my website, improved my cover letter, joined a bunch of online casting sites, stuff like that. It really did help. My website traffic almost doubled so that’s a good thing. Next.
Marketing?
That was huge this year. Going to FaffCon, MarCom, some MCA-I meetings was a big help. I met some great people and learned a lot.
Health?
Epic fail! At least physically. I gained a few pounds and I haven’t exercised in months. My cholesterol went up, too. I’m gonna get back on the horse next year. Promise.
What about mentally?
You know, I learned a lot about myself this year and the people around me. Who I can trust, who I can’t. When I should listen to myself and when I should shut the hell up. I’m definitely a happy dude. Anything else?
Looking forward to anything next year?
FaffCon, VOICE 2012 and making the first issue of Project: T.E.R.R.A.. By the way, now it’s called Agent: 1.22. Yeah, 2012 is gonna kick ass.
